Cookie Policy

Effective Date: June 15, 2026 Last Updated: June 15, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Healing TMS Clinic ("we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website at htmsclinic.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

By continuing to use our website after seeing the cookie consent banner, you agree to the use of cookies as described below. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time by clicking the cookie preferences link in the website footer.

1. What cookies are

A "cookie" is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit. Cookies allow the website to recognize your device on subsequent visits, remember preferences, and collect analytics about how the site is used. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, web beacons, and pixel tags. For brevity, this policy refers to all of them as "cookies."

Cookies do not contain personally identifiable health information. They may, however, collect technical information that is linked to your visit (such as device type, browser, and pages viewed).

2. Categories of cookies we use

We classify cookies into four categories. The cookie consent banner allows you to accept or reject each category independently, with one exception noted below.

Strictly necessary cookies (always active — cannot be disabled)

These cookies are required for the website to function. They are not used for analytics, marketing, or advertising. Examples:

  • Session cookie — maintains your session as you move between pages
  • CSRF token cookie — prevents cross-site request forgery attacks on our forms (the consultation request form, insurance verification form, etc.)
  • Cookie consent cookie — stores your cookie preferences so we do not display the banner on every visit

Because these cookies are necessary for the site to operate securely, they are exempt from consent requirements under California and federal law.

Functional cookies (opt-in)

These cookies remember choices you make to improve your experience, such as form field values you have already entered. We do not currently use third-party functional cookies.

Analytics cookies (opt-in)

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. If you consent, we use:

  • Google Analytics 4 — measures aggregate site traffic, page views, time on page, referral sources, and broad demographic categories. We have configured GA4 to anonymize IP addresses and we do not use Google Signals or remarketing audiences.

Analytics cookies do not collect or store any identifying health information.

Marketing and advertising cookies (opt-in)

We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies on htmsclinic.com. If this changes in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be asked to re-consent.

3. Third-party cookies

We do not set third-party cookies directly. The Google Analytics cookies described above are set by Google when you consent to analytics tracking. Google's use of analytics data is governed by their own privacy policies:

  • Google Analytics: https://policies.google.com/privacy
  • Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

4. Cookie duration

Cookies are either "session" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" (remain on your device for a defined period).

  • Strictly necessary session cookies: deleted on browser close
  • Cookie consent preferences: 12 months
  • Google Analytics (if consented): up to 13 months (Google's default)

5. Your choices

You can manage cookies in three ways:

  1. Cookie consent banner. When you first visit htmsclinic.com, you are presented with a consent banner. Choose "Accept all," "Reject all (non-essential)," or "Customize" to set preferences per category.
  2. Cookie preferences link in the footer. You may change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie preferences" link in the website footer.
  3. Browser settings. All major browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent the site from functioning correctly, including form submissions.

6. Do Not Track signals

Some browsers transmit a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry consensus on how DNT signals should be honored. We do not currently respond to DNT signals beyond the consent choices you make through our cookie banner.

7. California residents (CCPA / CPRA)

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). Cookies that collect personal information may be subject to opt-out rights. To exercise your rights, see our Privacy Policy or use the cookie preferences link in the footer.

8. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the cookie consent banner so you have an opportunity to re-consent.
