What actually happens during a TMS session.
It's quieter than most people expect. You sit upright in a comfortable chair, fully awake, with a small device positioned near your head. No anesthesia, no hospital gown, no recovery room.

Is TMS therapy painful, and is there any downtime?
No. You stay awake the entire time — there's no anesthesia and no sedation — and you drive yourself home afterward. Most people return to their normal day right after a session.
Can I keep taking my medications during TMS therapy?
In most cases, yes — many patients continue their current medications during a TMS course. Dr. Shamasundara reviews your full medication list at the consultation and will tell you if anything should change.
